Following Successful Merger, XLSMART Operates 5G Network in 88 Cities

PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (EXCL) has successfully secured four Ookla Speedtest Awards for the Q1-Q2 2026 period, winning in the categories of Best Mobile Network, Best 5G Network, Fastest 5G, and Best 5G Video Experience. This achievement serves as a testament to XLSMART’s success in providing reliable and high-quality 5G networks and connectivity in Indonesia.

Merza Fachys, Director & Chief Regulatory Officer of XLSMART, stated that the awards received by XLSMART are inseparable from the successful merger of XL Axiata and Smartfren in April 2025. The merger of these two entities has enabled XLSMART to expand its spectrum fourfold, allowing for the enhancement of 5G network services with a target of serving 5G networks in 88 cities across Indonesia.

XLSMART has also recorded a surge in Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) of up to 23% year-on-year, indicating an increase in customer transactions and data usage.
