Following Restorative Justice Request, Rismon Meets Jokowi in Solo Today
Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar is reported to be meeting with Indonesia’s seventh President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The meeting is planned to take place at Jokowi’s residence in Sumber, Solo, Central Java, on Thursday, 12 March, today.
The meeting comes after Rismon submitted a restorative justice petition in the case involving allegations of fake diploma credentials against Jokowi.
“Yes, that is the plan,” said Jokowi’s aide, Police Major Syarif Muhammad Fitriansyah, when contacted for confirmation.
Previously, Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar submitted a restorative justice request in the case of the alleged fake diploma. “A few days ago or about a week ago, the person in question, Mr RHS, together with his legal counsel, submitted a request for restorative justice facilitation to the investigator,” said Director of Criminal Investigation of the Jakarta Metro Police Brigadier General Iman Imanuddin to journalists on Wednesday, 11 March.
Iman revealed that on Wednesday, Rismon and his legal counsel also visited the Jakarta Metro Police again to inquire about the follow-up to the restorative justice request.
Furthermore, Iman stated that the investigator, acting as facilitator, is still processing the restorative justice request submitted by Rismon. “And as the facilitator, the investigator has already taken steps and is currently making efforts to facilitate the request submitted by the suspect RHS,” he said.
