Following New Star Club, Delona Vista in Denpasar Now Cordoned Off by Police
The entrance to the Delona Vista nightclub on Jalan Taman Pancing, Pemogan, Denpasar, Bali, has been cordoned off with police tape. The atmosphere at the nightclub, which provides private karaoke rooms and disco facilities, appeared quiet this afternoon.
The exact case leading to the police cordon at Delona Vista remains unknown. However, the enforcement action comes shortly after the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) raided another nightclub, New Star Club in West Denpasar.
The raid on New Star Club was related to drug trafficking at the venue. Bareskrim Polri seized hundreds of ecstasy pills and arrested three individuals, including management, during the operation on 15 March.
detikBali visited Delona Vista around 5:00 PM WITA on Thursday (2/4/2026). The area around the location was relatively empty. Police tape stretched across the nightclub’s entrance. Several motorbikes were still parked inside the gate area.
A local vendor who declined to be named suspected the sealing occurred since morning. He said he passed by the area around 5:30 AM WITA and saw no police tape at that time.
“At half past five, I was heading home from here, and there was no police tape at the gate,” said the vendor near the location on Thursday afternoon.
“When I came back here at noon, there was already police tape. It seems it started being put up around 7:00 AM,” he added.
The vendor also reported seeing several people in the parking area early Thursday morning. According to him, these individuals did not enter the building and stayed outside.
“Around 3:00 AM, many people came to the parking area, but they didn’t go in, just stayed outside. Some were sitting and monitoring in the yard,” he said.
He suspected these were police officers monitoring the situation before conducting a raid. The night before, he noted, the venue was bustling with visitors, with some turned away due to lack of space.
Denpasar Selatan Police Station’s Criminal Investigation Unit Head, Iptu Azel Arisandi, stated that the action at the site was carried out by Bareskrim at National Police Headquarters. “The process is with Bareskrim at National Police Headquarters,” he said briefly when contacted on Thursday evening.
To date, there has been no official statement regarding the full chronology of the activities conducted by Bareskrim at the location. It is unclear whether this operation is connected to the previous New Star Club case or involves a different matter.
