Following Malaysia's Lead, Hospitals Accelerate Robotic Surgery Adoption

The Indonesian Ministry of Health continues to encourage the digital technology transformation of hospital health services, including the adoption of robotic surgery technology development to improve precision in medical procedures. Director of Eka Hospital MT Haryono, Sheirly Novan Indra, stated that the adoption of robotic surgery in Indonesia is considerably behind compared to neighbouring countries. Therefore, efforts to accelerate the adoption of robotic surgery are necessary to improve the quality of medical services in an effort to address the increasing trend of metabolic and malignant diseases. However, the high investment cost remains a challenge for hospitals in accelerating the adoption of robotic surgery technology.
