Following Jordan, Prabowo Continues State Visit to UAE to Meet President MBZ

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto continued his state visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to meet with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, or MBZ, to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

According to an official statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat received in Jakarta on Thursday, President Prabowo and his entourage arrived at the Presidential Flight Airport, Abu Dhabi, on Wednesday afternoon local time, using Garuda Indonesia-1.

Upon disembarking the aircraft, President Prabowo was greeted by UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei, Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Judha Nugraha, UAE Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulla Salem Obaid Salem AlDaheri, and Defence Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Brigadier General Tony Aris Setiawan.

The welcoming ceremony was also marked by the presence of a guard of honour standing neatly on the side of the runway, adding to the solemn atmosphere of President Prabowo’s arrival in Abu Dhabi.

This reception demonstrates the high respect of the UAE government towards the President of the Republic of Indonesia.

From the airport, President Prabowo and his entourage immediately proceeded to the hotel where they will stay during their time in Abu Dhabi.

During this working visit, President Prabowo is scheduled to meet with President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The President’s working visit to Abu Dhabi is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between Indonesia and the UAE.

The bilateral relations between the two countries, which have been established, are expected to become even stronger through the meetings and cooperation agendas scheduled during the visit.

The visit to Abu Dhabi is seen as marking the continuation of Indonesia’s active diplomacy in the region, as well as reaffirming President Prabowo’s commitment to expanding a network of mutually beneficial global partnerships.
