Following Gatut Sunu, 11 Tulungagung Regional Officials Transported by KPK to Jakarta

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - As many as 12 officials from the Tulungagung Regency Government were transported by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to the Red and White Building in Jakarta on Saturday (11/4/2026). They were brought by the KPK in connection with a sting operation (OTT) conducted against the Regent of Tulungagung, Gatut Sunu Wibowo. “Subsequently, 13 people including them were brought to Jakarta today in stages,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Saturday. Meanwhile, the other 12 people arrived at the KPK around 1:48 PM WIB. Eleven people are from the Tulungagung Regency Government environment. Meanwhile, one is from outside the government. “Subsequently, those parties will undergo further examination at the KPK Red and White Building,” added Budi. In this OTT, the KPK also seized several pieces of evidence in the form of cash. However, the amount of money seized has not been disclosed. Until now, the KPK has not revealed the identities of the 17 people who were arrested together with Gatut.
