Following Funeral Prayer, Body of Try Sutrisno Sent to Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery
The body of Indonesia’s sixth Vice President Try Sutrisno has completed the funeral prayer ceremony. The body of Try Sutrisno has subsequently been transported to the National Heroes Cemetery Kalibata (TMPNU) in South Jakarta.
According to detikcom’s monitoring at the Grand Sunda Kelapa Mosque on Monday 2 March, the funeral prayer for Try Sutrisno was completed at approximately 12:35 WIB. The funeral prayer was led by Try Sutrisno’s son, Taufik Dwi Cahyono.
A state handover ceremony of the body from the family to the state was subsequently conducted at the Serambi Jayakarta of Sunda Kelapa Mosque. The ceremony was attended by Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto.
The body was then transported from the Grand Sunda Kelapa Mosque. Family members and mourners accompanied the funeral procession to the cemetery.
For information, Try Sutrisno passed away at RSPAD Gatot Subroto Hospital in Central Jakarta. Try Sutrisno died at the age of 90.
Try Sutrisno passed away at 06:58 WIB on Monday, 2 March. The body of Try Sutrisno has been buried at the National Heroes Cemetery Kalibata (TMPNU) in South Jakarta.
“The plan is to bury him at the National Heroes Cemetery Kalibata in South Jakarta,” said TNI Spokesperson Brigadier General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah on Monday, 2 March.
