Following DPR Input, Nanik S Deyang Appoints Agustina Arumsari as BGN Spokesperson
Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Nanik S Deyang, has officially appointed Deputy Head of BGN, Agustina Arumsari, as the BGN spokesperson. The appointment was made following a closed working meeting between BGN and Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) discussing the BGN’s 2027 budget ceiling at the DPR.
“During the meeting, we received various constructive inputs from Commission IX of the DPR RI. One of them concerned the importance of strengthening the public communication function within BGN,” Nanik said in a statement on Monday (15/6/2026).
According to Nanik, BGN is currently running various strategic programmes that are of wide public interest, necessitating an official communication channel capable of explaining policies, programme achievements, and the latest developments quickly and accurately.
“Therefore, we decided to appoint Mrs Agustina Arumsari as BGN Spokesperson. We hope that BGN’s public communication function will become stronger, more open, and more responsive to the public’s information needs,” said Nanik.
As Deputy Head of BGN, Agustina is considered to have a comprehensive understanding of the agency’s policy direction, work programmes, and various strategic issues that are the focus of the institution. With this experience, she is expected to be able to bridge communication between BGN and the public, mass media, and other stakeholders.
Nanik emphasised that transparency and openness of information are important parts of good institutional governance. Therefore, BGN is committed to continuously strengthening public communication as a form of accountability to the public.
“BGN will continue to open up healthy, transparent, and data-based communication spaces. The presence of a spokesperson is expected to accelerate the delivery of information while increasing public understanding of the various programmes run by BGN,” he added.
