Following BGN Office Raid, Attorney General's Office Detains Dadan Hindayana
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Attorney General’s Office has detained the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, after the law enforcement agency conducted a search of the BGN office.
Based on observations at the Attorney General’s Office’s Special Crimes Building (Jampidsus) in Jakarta on Wednesday, Dadan exited the building wearing a pink detainee vest at 5:11 PM WIB. He was seen wearing the characteristic pink vest of the Attorney General’s Office detainees over a black t-shirt as he was escorted by officers. When members of the media called out his name, he did not respond and proceeded into the detention vehicle.
In addition to Dadan, the Attorney General’s Office has also detained the former Deputy Head of the BGN, Lodewyk Pusung, and Sony Sonjaya. Both were also seen wearing the prosecutor’s office detainee vests. All three individuals were dismissed from their positions at the BGN by President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday (2/6).
It is reported that on Wednesday morning, investigators from the Jampidsus unit searched the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) office located in Central Jakarta. According to observations, the BGN office had been under heavy security, guarded by TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) and police forces, since 8:00 AM WIB. Most employees entering and exiting the office area declined to provide statements.
A security official stated that several BGN leaders are currently in Sentul, Bogor, West Java, to attend an event featuring international motivational speaker Tony Robbins.
