Following Bahlil's Directive, Golkar Youth Elements Urged to Mobilise Among People to Oversee Prabowo's Programmes
Jakarta – The chairman of the Youth and Sports division of Golkar Party’s central board, Said Aldi Al Idrus, announced that all party youth organisations fully support Golkar’s chairman, Bahlil Lahadalia, in overseeing government programmes throughout Indonesia.
Following this declaration of support, all youth elements of Golkar party have also been requested to mobilise directly among the public to oversee the policies and flagship programmes of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
“To all youth elements of Golkar party, I request that you mobilise directly among the community, socialise the government’s flagship programmes which are highly beneficial and whose benefits have been felt by people in the regions,” Said said during a technical coordination meeting of the Youth and Sports division of Golkar’s central board on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
Said also urged the chairmen of party youth organisations to nurture party cadres to strengthen the cadre base throughout Indonesia.
“As well as to ensure the success of Golkar party’s programme in recruiting 2 million new cadres, millennial generations, youth elements at all levels in accordance with the directive of Chairman Bahlil,” he stated.
As a party laboratory, the party youth organisations, according to Said, must remain cohesive in upholding the dignity of Golkar party.
Said, who is also chairman of the Association of Provincial Youth Leaders, reminded all youth elements in Golkar party to identify the best cadres who possess extraordinary charisma and public sympathy to be nominated to Golkar’s central board as outstanding legislative candidates to increase the party’s votes in the forthcoming 2029 election.
“God willing, the Youth and Sports division of Golkar’s central board will continue to operate militantly to achieve the best results. As Golkar’s central board chairman Bahlil Lahadalia has prepared various strategies to increase Golkar’s votes in the 2029 election,” he explained.
