A total of 400 state-owned enterprise (BUMN) employees are undergoing discipline and character-building training at the Army’s Doctrine, Education and Training Development Command (Kodiklat) TNI, Buaran, Serpong, South Tangerang. They are participants in the Presidential Future Leaders Program (PFLP) for BUMN Employees, Batch 1 for the 2026 fiscal year, opened through a ceremony led by Deputy Defence Minister Donny Ermawan Taufanto. ‘The programme lasts nine months. Three months will be conducted at Kodiklat TNI. Then four months at Danantara Corporate University, and two months of internships at various places, which we will determine,’ Donny said at Kodiklat TNI on Wednesday (20/5/2026). Donny stated that PFLP is the result of President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to prepare outstanding human resources within the government, including BUMN. The number of participants comprises 272 men and 128 women. During their time at Kodiklat TNI, participants will receive training in discipline, nationalism, patriotism, teamwork, and resilience. ‘First of all, we are educating people from BUMN. Coincidentally, BUMN last year recruited employees and this year also recruiting,’ he said. ‘Now we empower the newly recruited employees to select and train them in this programme,’ he added. Donny emphasised that the basic military training provided is not intended to turn participants into soldiers, but as a vehicle for character development. He added that participants will also be accustomed to living a disciplined lifestyle during their education, such as waking early, group exercise, and adhering to daily rules within Kodiklat TNI. After completing training at Kodiklat, participants will undertake managerial education at Danantara Corporate University for four months. The material includes management skills, decision making, analysis, and cyber security. In the final stage, participants will undergo cross-institutional internships for two months. ‘So I think there will certainly be credit points for those who undertake these activities. But it does not guarantee that graduating from here immediately makes you a director; that is not the case. There are steps to follow, enrichment to be done,’ he added. According to Donny, similar programmes will also be opened for the next batch, including the possibility of involving civil servants (ASN).
