Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Central Leadership of the Forum for Muhammadiyah Student Association Alumni (PP Fokal IMM) states that strict oversight by law enforcement agencies (APH) in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme by the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) is essential to avoid potential deviations.

General Secretary of Fokal IMM, Yusuf Warsyim, in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, said that the involvement of APH, particularly the Prosecutor’s Office, is a key element in ensuring the programme runs transparently, accountably, and in accordance with food standards.

“Oversight by APH, particularly the Prosecutor’s Office, is very necessary to ensure the MBG programme operates according to food standards and that no deviations occur, especially corrupt practices,” he said.

Fokal IMM, he added, has a significant interest in ensuring the MBG programme runs optimally, on target, and provides real benefits to the community, particularly to students as the beneficiaries.

In addition, Yusuf stated that Fokal IMM is ready to actively participate in monitoring and reporting if indications of deviations are found in the implementation of the MBG programme.

“Fokal IMM is ready to collaborate with various parties, including the National Police (Polri), for oversight and law enforcement. This is a form of our commitment to maintaining the integrity of the programme,” he said.

As a concrete step, he explained, Fokal IMM will establish complaint posts at beneficiary school locations at the sub-district level.

According to him, these posts can serve as a means of public participation in submitting reports and information related to the programme’s implementation.

Yusuf said that prevention efforts must be the top priority through strengthening transparency, accountability, and compliance with food standards.

“We encourage a preventive approach so that deviations do not occur from the outset. The MBG programme must be safeguarded together to run according to standards and achieve the expected targets,” he said.
