JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto will explain to Russian President Vladimir Putin Indonesia’s position on the current global geopolitical map.

“Voicing Indonesia’s strategic position in maintaining global stability and peace,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in his written statement on Monday (13/4/2026).

Prabowo departed for Russia from TNI AU Halim Perdanakusuma Base, East Jakarta, on Sunday (12/4/2026) at 23.10 WIB last night.

According to Cabinet Secretary Teddy, the meeting between the two leaders holds significant meaning amid the dynamic changes in the global landscape.

“In the midst of continuously changing global dynamics, this meeting is very crucial,” he stated.

“Continuing cooperation with the Russian government and ensuring stable national energy supplies, including oil availability,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy.

Teddy himself is part of Prabowo’s delegation to Russia. In addition to him, also joining the trip to Russia are Foreign Minister Sugiono and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.

President Prabowo’s departure was seen off directly by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, TNI Chief Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Head of the State Intelligence Agency Muhammad Herindra.
