Jakarta (ANTARA) - Nine Indonesian nationals who served as volunteers with the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) 2.0 have reported the alleged torture they experienced whilst detained by the Israeli authorities to the Attorney General’s Office.

Herman Budianto, a representative of the GSF 2.0 volunteers, said in Jakarta on Wednesday that the report covers allegations of abduction and violence which they claim to have endured during four days of detention.

“Today we have come to the Special Crimes Division to report what we experienced whilst we were abducted and imprisoned in Israeli Zionist prisons for four days, and we will report the violence we suffered,” he said.

According to Herman, the volunteers brought a number of pieces of evidence, including photographs of injuries, medical examination results and a chronology of events, as part of the report to the Attorney General’s Office.

He said the provisions could form the basis for law enforcement action against alleged international crimes, in accordance with the authority regulated under prevailing legislation.

Previously, the GSF 2.0 humanitarian mission vessel carrying the nine Indonesian nationals was intercepted by the Israeli military in waters near Cyprus on 18 May 2026, and the volunteers were subsequently detained in the city of Ashdod.

The nine Indonesians were released on 21 May 2026 following diplomatic and consular efforts undertaken by the Indonesian government together with various parties.
