Floral tributes fill Vidi Aldiano's funeral home, from Erick Thohir to the Deputy Chair of the BPK
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A number of flower bouquets filled the funeral home of singer Vidi Aldiano on Jalan Kecapi, Cilandak Barat, South Jakarta, on Saturday night, 7 March 2026.
Based on Kompas.com’s observations at the scene, the bouquets were carried by several staff to the funeral home in a variety of sizes and colours.
Most of the bouquets were dominated by shades of black, yellow, red, blue, and white.
One bouquet appeared to be from the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Erick Thohir.
‘Our condolences on the passing of Mr. Vidi Aldiano,’ reads the inscription on that bouquet with the name Erick Thohir listed at the bottom.
In addition to Erick Thohir, bouquets were also seen arriving from the music group Project Pop, Deputy Chair of the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK RI) Budi Prijono, and singer and songwriter Marion Jola.
Not only from figures and musicians, some bouquets were also sent by several agencies that conveyed their condolences on the death of the singer of the song ‘Nuansa Bening’.
Meanwhile, several public figures were also seen visiting the funeral home to pay their respects.
Among them are singer Rizky Febian, Thariq Halilintar, Nadine Amizah, Afgan, Prilly Latuconsina, Lyodra Ginting, Anya Geraldine, and Maudy Ayunda.
‘Vidi was a person loved by everyone. He was very loved and cherished,’ Randy told media reporters after leaving the funeral home.
Randy described Vidi as someone who always brought positive energy to those around him.
‘He is a figure who inspires many people. His energy is positive, cheerful, and if you meet him, you always see a smile,’ he added.
Lyodra Ginting also expressed similar sentiments, saying she often met Vidi at various music events.
