JAKARTA - The Head of the Data and Information Centre (Kapusdatin) at the DKI Jakarta BPBD, Mohamad Yohan, revealed that the flooding which inundated several areas in DKI Jakarta since Saturday (21/3/2026) has receded by Sunday afternoon (22/3/2026).

“Since 1:00 PM WIB, all inundations in the DKI Jakarta area have receded,” Yohan stated in a written release on Sunday.

“Of course, with the support of equipment such as mobile pumps to suck up the water and ensure that water channels function properly,” he added.

Yohan advised residents to remain alert to the potential for follow-up inundations. In emergency situations, the public is urged to immediately contact the 24-hour, toll-free emergency service at 112.

Previously reported, the BPBD recorded that 46 RTs were affected by flooding due to heavy rain that lashed DKI Jakarta and its surroundings since Saturday, with water levels reaching up to 80 centimetres.

The affected areas are spread across several sub-districts, including Ceger, Cilangkap, Munjul, Cibubur, Ciracas, Cipinang Muara, Dukuh, Cipinang Melayu, Baru, and Pekayon.

As a result of the flooding, 201 households or 696 individuals evacuated to various points, such as prayer rooms, mosques, sub-district offices, and other public facilities.
