Floods hit the usual places

JAKARTA (JP): Heavy rain in much of the city from Monday night to dawn yesterday has flooded some parts of the city.

Antara reported yesterday that flood-prone areas in Grogol, West Jakarta, Kampung Melayu, East Jakarta and Salemba and around the National Monument (Monas) square, Central Jakarta, had been inundated.

Jl. Otto Iskandar Dinata in East Jakarta and Jl. MH Thamrin were no exception, where water ran ankle-deep. (sur)
