The tunnel linking Kampung Rambutan bus terminal with Jl.
Manunggal in Ceger, East Jakarta, is transformed into a knee-deep
waterway when it rains, compelling pedestrians, many school
children among them, to cross the Jagorawi tollway instead. They
then have to brave the flow of speeding vehicles.

PT Jasa Marga, the toll road authority, should have the tunnel
repaired immediately.
