Flooding in Tangsel Housing Complex, Residents Evacuated Using Rubber Boats

Based on photos and videos uploaded by the BPBD Tangerang Selatan Instagram account, the flooding tonight occurred in the Pondok Safari Indah housing complex, Jurangmangu Barat sub-district. BPBD personnel are on site to evacuate residents. “The BPBD Task Force team in South Tangerang City is conducting evacuations of flood-affected residents,” the BPBD Tangsel account stated, as seen on Monday (4/5/2026). BPBD Tangsel officers can be seen wearing life jackets and helmets while evacuating residents. Officers are pushing rubber boats carrying residents. There is no explanation regarding the height of the flooding in the area. However, officers are repeatedly using rubber boats to evacuate residents. BPBD Tangsel has urged residents to contact the 112 call centre if there is a disaster emergency. “The public is urged to contact the 112 call centre if experiencing a disaster emergency,” BPBD Tangsel stated.
