Flooding Hits Residential Areas in South Tangerang; Hundreds of Residents Affected
Residential areas in South Tangerang (Tangsel) were inundated by floods after heavy rain fell overnight. Eight flood-prone locations were inundated to depths of up to 1 metre. ‘A report of flooding in Tangsel City, Sunday 8 March 2026 at 06:05 WIB,’ said Diyan Wiryawan, Operational Service Planner of Tangsel’s BPBD, in a statement on Sunday (8 March 2026). Based on the data, the flood heights even reached up to 1 metre. Hundreds of households were affected by the floods. The following are the flood locations and numbers of people affected:
Pondok Safari Housing, RW 15, Jurangmangu Barat, Pondok Aren — Depth: 15–100 cm; 280 households affected.
Kampung Tembok Bolong, RW 12 Rempoa, Ciputat Timur — Depth: 45 cm; 55 households affected.
Pondok Maharta Housing, RW 09 & RW 10, Pondok Kacang Timur — Depth: 25–110 cm; 450 households affected.
Pondok Kacang Prima Housing, RW 17, Pondok Kacang Timur–Pondok Aren — Depth: 10–40 cm; 90 households affected.
Kavling Bulak Pondok Kacang Timur — Depth: approx. 30–70 cm; 58 households affected.
Taman Mangu 1 Housing, RW 06, Jurangmangu Barat–Pondok Aren — Depth: approx. 25 cm; about 90 households affected.
Jalan Oscar Raya, RW 02, Bambu Apus, Pamulang — Depth: 10 cm; main access road for residents affected.
Jalan Ceger Raya–Taman Mangu, Jurangmangu Barat, Pondok Aren — Depth: 20–90 cm; main road access affected.
