Flooding inundated the area beneath the Ring Road toll road at Puri Kembangan, West Jakarta, causing severe traffic congestion.

The information was posted by the X account @TMCPoldaMetro at 23:18 Western Indonesian Time on Friday (20/2/2026). It was reported that the floodwaters had begun to recede.

“23:18 — The latest situation at the Ring Road Puri Kembangan traffic light: floodwaters have begun to recede, though traffic remains quite congested,” the post stated.

In photographs shared online, a number of police officers could be seen assisting passing vehicles. Several motorbikes were also visible having broken down.

When contacted for confirmation, Kembangan Police Sector Chief Commissioner M Taufik said the flooding was still being dealt with and the standing water was being pumped out.

“Still being handled. It’s being pumped out,” Taufik said.

Earlier in the evening, traffic heading towards Ciledug had been unable to pass due to the considerable depth of floodwater.

“22:06 — Due to flooding at the Puri Kembangan traffic light in West Jakarta, traffic heading towards Ciledug is currently unable to pass,” the post read.
