“Alhamdulillah, today we slaughtered one cow donated by benefactors to cook and eat together when breaking the fast,” said the head of Dusun Rantau Panjang Reubeuk, Desa Sijudo, Jahidin, in Kecamatan Pante Bidari on Thursday.
He explained that the cow, purchased from local residents, was slaughtered and cooked communally for residents currently living in temporary shelters and some in wooden houses.
“We express our thanks to the donors who contributed one cow for us to enjoy together when breaking the fast arrives,” he said.
Volunteer from the Aceh Connection Foundation, Zamzami, stated that the donation of one cow was a contribution from the Aceh Connection Foundation for the Meugang tradition for flood disaster victims in Dusun Rantau Panjang Reubeuk, Desa Sijudo.
“We bought the cow from local residents with the aim of keeping the economy there alive, and the meat is cooked and eaten together when breaking the fast,” he said.
