Flood Update in Jakarta: Only 1 RT in Cilandak Remains Submerged

JAKARTA – Heavy rain that lashed the DKI Jakarta area on Monday (30/3/2026) caused flooding in several locations, particularly in South Jakarta. As of 20:00 WIB, the Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) recorded that only one RT in Cilandak Timur Kelurahan remains submerged with a height of around 30 centimetres. “We recorded that there is currently still one RT in Cilandak Timur Kelurahan,” said the Head of Data and Information Centre of DKI Jakarta BPBD, Mohamad Yohan, in his statement on Monday. As of 17:00 WIB, three RTs were recorded as affected, namely one RT in Cilandak Barat with a water height of 50 cm. Meanwhile, two RTs in Cilandak Timur had heights of up to 1 metre. The cause of the flooding was stated to be high rainfall and overflow from the Kali Krukut. “BPBD has deployed personnel to monitor the flooding conditions and coordinate with the Water Resources Agency, Public Works Agency, and Gulkarmat Agency to carry out water pumping and ensure that water barriers function properly,” said Yohan.
