Flood Points in Jakarta Rise to 168 Neighbourhood Units, Water Levels Reach 1.5 Metres
The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD DKI) has reported on the latest flood response efforts. The number of flood-affected areas rose to 168 neighbourhood units (RT) on Friday afternoon.
“BPBD currently records 168 RT and 7 road segments as inundated,” said the BPBD DKI Jakarta Command Centre on Friday (20/2/2026).
As of 4.00pm Western Indonesian Time (WIB), flooding had occurred in West Jakarta, South Jakarta, East Jakarta and North Jakarta. The greatest number of flood points was in South Jakarta, with 89 RT affected.
Flood depths varied across the city. Water levels reaching 1.5 metres were still reported in Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.
“BPBD DKI Jakarta has deployed personnel to monitor inundation conditions in every area and is coordinating with the Water Resources Agency, the Highways Agency and the Fire and Rescue Agency to pump out floodwaters and ensure drainage channels are functioning properly, in conjunction with local village and sub-district heads, whilst also preparing basic necessities for survivors. Floodwaters are targeted to recede as quickly as possible,” the agency said.

West Jakarta (33 RT)
- Kedaung Kali Angke: 11 RT — Depth: 30 to 80 cm — Cause: Heavy rainfall and overflow of the Angke River
- Rawa Buaya: 11 RT — Depth: 30 to 70 cm — Cause: Heavy rainfall and overflow of the Angke River
- Kebon Jeruk: 1 RT — Depth: 40 cm — Cause: Heavy rainfall
- Kedoya Selatan: 5 RT — Depth: 80 cm — Cause: Heavy rainfall
- Kembangan Selatan: 3 RT — Depth: 40 cm — Cause: Heavy rainfall and overflow of the Pesanggrahan River
- Kembangan Utara: 2 RT — Depth: 40 cm — Cause: Heavy rainfall
South Jakarta (89 RT)

North Jakarta (1 RT)

Meanwhile, seven roads were inundated:

- Jl. Strategi Raya, Joglo, West Jakarta — Depth: 30 cm
- Jl. Basoka Raya, Joglo, West Jakarta — Depth: 40 cm
- Jl. Puri Kembangan (in front of SMK Budi Murni school), Kedoya Selatan, West Jakarta — Depth: 60 cm
- Jl. Daan Mogot (Gelas factory), Rawa Buaya, West Jakarta — Depth: 30 cm
- Jl. Kali Sekretaris Pospol RW 05, Duri Kepa, West Jakarta — Depth: 30 cm
- Jl. Daan Mogot, KM 13, Rawa Buaya, West Jakarta — Depth: 40 cm
The following areas had seen floodwaters recede:
- Lebak Bulus: 2 RT
- Pesanggrahan: 2 RT
- Cilandak Timur: 1 RT
- Kebayoran Lama Utara: 1 RT
