Jakarta (ANTARA) - The North Jakarta City Government has proposed flood management, both from heavy rain and coastal flooding (rob), as a priority in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s Regional Work Plan (RKPD) for 2027. “We are proposing seven development initiatives as part of the preparation of the 2027 RKPD, including the continuation of the normalisation of Kali Cakung up to the dredging of Kali Angke,” said North Jakarta Mayor Hendra Hidayat in Jakarta on Thursday. The seven priority city development proposals have been incorporated into the 2026 Development Planning Deliberation (Musrenbang). Hendra stated that the seven priority development proposals are the continuation of the normalisation of Kali Cakung Lama, dredging of Kali Angke, construction of an underpass at the Pos 3 Kebon Baru intersection on Jalan Tanah Merdeka in Cilincing, including the arrangement of Simpang Lima Semper and the arrangement of Jalan RE Martadinata. Additionally, the construction of a Puskesmas in Pademangan District and an Auxiliary Puskesmas in Semper Timur Ward, revitalisation of Temporary Waste Disposal Sites (TPS), addition of garbage and sludge transport fleets, and the construction of a State Senior High School in Ancol Ward. “We have submitted these seven proposals into the Provincial DKI Jakarta Level Musrenbang proposals. They will be discussed again there,” he said. From the district-level Musrenbang implementation, they received 2,003 proposals consisting of 1,639 physical proposals and 364 goods proposals emerging from six districts in North Jakarta, namely Kelapa Gading, Koja, Cilincing, Pademangan, Penjaringan, and Tanjung Priok. From these proposals, 55 were accommodated in 2026 and 1,146 will be accommodated in 2027, while 802 proposals could not yet be accommodated. “This Musrenbang represents community aspirations in our collective effort to build the city. The Musrenbang is conducted simultaneously from the RW, ward, to district levels. We received 2,003 proposals from the six districts across North Jakarta,” Hendra stated.
