Flights to Middle East Cancelled at Soekarno-Hatta Airport
Several flights to and from the Middle East at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport have been cancelled following airspace closures across the Middle Eastern region. According to Aziz Fahmi Harahap, Acting Assistant Deputy of Communication and Legal Affairs at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, a number of flights on Middle Eastern routes have been affected by departures being cancelled.
The affected outbound flights include Etihad Airways (EY472 to Abu Dhabi), Qatar Airways (QR954 to Doha), Qatar Airways (QR957 to Doha), Emirates (EK357 to Dubai), Etihad Airways (EY475 to Abu Dhabi), Garuda Indonesia (GA900 to Doha), and Etihad Airways (EY473 to Abu Dhabi).
For inbound flights, Etihad Airways EY472 from Abu Dhabi to Jakarta and Qatar Airways QR954 from Doha to Jakarta have been cancelled.
Fahmi stated that passengers affected by the cancellations are being assisted in accordance with established procedures, including the cancellation of travel documents at immigration and coordination with airlines regarding accommodation arrangements and rescheduled flight times.
Overall operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, particularly on international routes, continue to proceed safely, orderly, and smoothly in accordance with operational procedures. The airport’s management, together with all stakeholders, continues to ensure that all passenger services operate optimally for both departures and arrivals.
Intensive coordination is being maintained with airlines, airport authorities, and other relevant agencies to anticipate operational dynamics and maintain standards of safety, security, and service. Terminal conditions remain safe and conducive, according to Fahmi.
The airport authority has urged prospective passengers travelling on Middle Eastern routes to actively monitor flight information through official airline channels or by contacting airline customer service to obtain up-to-date information on departure status.
Soekarno-Hatta Airport management is also conducting regular monitoring of operational developments across all terminals, particularly for international flight services, to ensure that any potential issues can be responded to quickly and appropriately.
