Flights from Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport to Dubai resume

I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, has again begun dispatching flights to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Flights to the Middle East had previously been affected by airspace closures since 28 February 2026.

Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, Head of Communications and Legal Division at PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia for I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, said the aircraft departing for Dubai was Emirates’ EK369. The Airbus A380 departed for Dubai on Thursday, 5 March 2026 at 00:42 WITA.

‘We can also inform you that Emirates has flown back one aircraft that had remained overnight (RON) at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport since 28 February,’ Eka said on Friday, 6 March 2026.

The departure of Emirates marks the first Denpasar to Dubai flight. The departure could take place after Dubai International Airport gradually resumed flight operations.

In addition to the departure, Ngurah Rai Airport also received Emirates’ first arrival from Dubai since the airport was closed. The aircraft landed at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on Friday, 6 March 2026 at 16:30 WITA, flight EK368, operating an Airbus A380.

‘As for Friday (06/03) afternoon, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport accommodated Emirates’ arrival with flight EK368 from Dubai. The flight using the Airbus A380 landed in Bali at 16:30 WITA,’ Eka explained.

Eka added that Ngurah Rai Airport continues to coordinate with the airline involved to monitor developments in flight operations. Airport operations remain normal and optimal.
