Flight Cancellations from Bali to Middle East Amid Military Escalation
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Escalating military tensions in the Middle East have prompted several airlines to cancel flights from Bali to the region.
As of Sunday, 1 March 2026 at 11.00 WITA, five flights from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport have experienced flight delays and/or schedule adjustments to various Middle Eastern cities.

According to airline data, a total of 1,631 passengers from the five affected flights have been impacted by the schedule adjustments. All passengers are being handled in accordance with each airline’s policies.
“We urge air passengers to continue communicating with airlines for updates on flight schedules,” said Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, Head of Communications at PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.
The cancellations follow military strikes launched by the United States and Israel against Iran on Saturday, 28 February, resulting in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei. Iran subsequently launched retaliatory strikes not only against Israel but also against countries hosting US military bases, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Qatar.
