Flight Attendant Assaulted by Official Revealed to Be Indra Bekti's Cousin

Febriyani, a flight attendant for Sriwijaya Air who was the victim of an assault by the Head of the Regional Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) for Bangka-Belitung Province, Zakaria Umar Hadi, has been revealed to be a cousin of the celebrity Indra Bekti. The presenter and artist disclosed the connection via his Twitter account, @indrabektiasli. “This is the person who hit the Sriwijaya Air flight attendant, and it turns out the flight attendant is my cousin, named Febby. How can an official act like that?” Indra Bekti wrote on Thursday (6/6). He further expressed his frustration, stating, “Sir, please, as an official you should be setting an example!!! And not be so arbitrary like that!!!” He added, “Dear Mr. Official, if you have a daughter, would you want your daughter to be treated like that?” Febriyani reported the incident to the police after being struck with a newspaper by Zakaria on Wednesday evening (5/6). The case gained public attention after another artist, Shita Destya, who claimed to be the victim’s younger sister, uploaded a photo of Febri on Twitter. The photo showed Febri in a red uniform with a name tag, her hair tied back. Since the photo was posted, an outpouring of support for Febri has flooded social media, including a dedicated hashtag, #dukungFEBRY.
