Flesh Stripped to the Bone: The Latest Condition of Victim in Alleged Police Brutality Case

A 30-year-old woman, identified by the initial M, has reported her husband—a police officer with the rank of Aiptu—to the Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) of the Indonesian National Police. The report, filed on Thursday, 2 July 2026, with assistance from the Hotman 911 legal team, alleges repeated physical abuse, unlawful confinement, forced consumption of narcotics, and torture resulting in severe burns across nearly half of her body.

According to a video shared by lawyer Hotman Paris on social media, the victim was doused with a corrosive liquid in September 2025. The attack caused burns covering 47 percent of her body, and she remains under outpatient care as the wounds have yet to heal. The video description, cited on Saturday, 4 July 2026, stated, ‘She was doused with acid in September 2025 and is still receiving outpatient treatment because the 47 percent burns have not healed. The flesh is still stripped away, leaving only bone.’

The victim reportedly underwent surgery in February 2026 to cover the burn areas due to extensive skin damage. The video noted that the operation was necessary ‘to cover the burns because there was no skin left.’ The upload also revealed that the victim had endured the alleged abuse for approximately 2.5 years but did not dare to speak out earlier due to constant threats and intimidation from the perpetrator. The post detailed that the victim was frequently intimidated, including being struck with the grip of a pistol.
