Fleeing Police, Man in Bogor Jumps into River and Breaks Leg

A man named Ableh was found lying under the Grendong Bridge in Rumpin District, Bogor, West Java. He had been fleeing from the police.

Rumpin Police Chief AKP Suyoko stated that Ableh was discovered on Friday evening (26/6/2026). When found, Ableh had sustained injuries to several parts of his body.

“One man was found lying under the Grendong Bridge beside the river with abrasions on his hands and a broken left leg,” Suyoko said on Saturday (27/6/2026).

Ableh is believed to have jumped into the Cisadane River at 3.00 a.m. Western Indonesia Time. At that time, the Mobile Investigation Unit of the Depok Metro Police was raiding suspected motorcycle theft perpetrators.

Officers subsequently evacuated Ableh and took him to the community health centre for medical treatment.

“The individual (Ableh) was then evacuated from under the bridge and taken to the Rumpin Community Health Centre for medical treatment,” he explained.

Authorities then coordinated with the Depok Metro Police regarding the discovery of the suspected perpetrator. Ableh was subsequently handed over for the investigation process.
