Flats designated as housing solution for residents in Bogor City
Bogor City (ANTARA) - The Bogor City DPRD has designated flats as a housing solution for residents by approving the Initiative Regional Regulation Draft (Raperda) on Flats, turning it into a Regional Regulation (Perda) during a plenary session at the DPRD Building in Bogor, West Java.
Chairman of the PKS Faction in the Bogor City DPRD, Karnain Asyhar, stated in Bogor on Tuesday that this step was taken to meet the need for decent housing amid increasingly limited land in urban areas, especially for low-income communities (MBR) in Bogor City.
The approval of this Raperda is intended to provide a strong legal umbrella for the construction of planned, affordable, and sustainable vertical housing.
Karnain said that the approval of this regulation marks an important milestone in the direction of Bogor City’s development, which is beginning to shift to a vertical concept.
“This approval is an important milestone in promoting planned, affordable, and equitable vertical development. This is a concrete form of our commitment in the legislature to strengthen the local government’s efforts in providing housing solutions for low-income communities,” said Karnain.
“Through this Raperda, we emphasise the importance of governance that is not only focused on the physical building but also on aspects of sustainability, comfort, and legal certainty for every occupant,” he added.
He explained that the existence of this regulation is also expected to encourage harmonious collaboration between the local government, the private sector, and the community in developing vertical housing.
With legal certainty, developers will be more confident in investing in humane and useful flat constructions.
In addition, the Flats Regional Regulation is also expected to serve as an instrument for reorganising densely populated residential areas to make them more orderly, healthy, and aligned with Bogor City’s vision as a sustainable city.
