JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, will inaugurate the Flag Park in March 2026.

The green space project in the Blok M area is being built with a budget of approximately IDR 100 billion, without using the Regional Budget (APBD).

“The Flag Park, which I will inaugurate in March, is being funded with a total of approximately IDR 100 billion. Not a single penny comes from the APBD,” said Pramono at the Jakarta Provincial Education Office, Thursday (February 26, 2026).

Pramono stated that the construction of public facilities in Jakarta in the future will increasingly utilise non-APBD funding schemes.

“In the coming years, we will inaugurate many buildings, parks, and several public facilities that are fully funded not from the APBD,” he said.

He asked the Jakarta Provincial Government to improve and actively seek alternative funding sources by strengthening transparency and building public trust.

“I urge the City Hall to improve itself, making Jakarta not solely dependent on the APBD,” he said.

The funding for these projects comes from corporate social responsibility (CSR) schemes and contributions from developers through the Floor Area Ratio (FAR) and Certificate of Occupancy (CoO) policies.

“Where does it come from? We are building trust with the public that Jakarta is now improving, being transparent, and open,” said Pramono.

At the event, the Jakarta Provincial Government invited a number of officials, including the Chairman of the Jakarta DPRD, Khoirudin, the 5th President of Indonesia, Megawati Soekarnoputri, and the Mayor of South Jakarta, Muhammad Anwar.

The Flag Park is a project that combines three parks in the Blok M area, namely Langsat Park, Ayodhya Park, and Leuser Park.

The 5.6-hectare area is designed not only as a public green space but also as a solution for flood control in the area.
