FKPM Pasar Lama Lahat Wins First Prize in South Sumatra Police Competition, Evidence of Police-Community Synergy
LAHAT – The Forum for Police-Community Partnership (FKPM) of Pasar Lama District, Lahat Subdistrict, Lahat Regency, has secured first place in the FKPM and Village/Subdistrict Community Security Officials (BKPM) competition at the South Sumatra Regional Police level.
The award was presented directly by the Community Development Director (Dirbinmas) of the South Sumatra Regional Police at an event held on Wednesday, 11 March 2026 at approximately 09.00 Western Indonesian Time in Lahat Regency.
Lahat Police Chief AKBP Novi Edyanto SIK MIK, represented by the Head of Community Relations at Lahat Police Station AKP Heri Jon Pajri SH, attended the event alongside the Head of Community Policing Aipda Dafik Oktavianto SH MM and representatives of the local Police-Community Partnership Forum.
At the event, the South Sumatra Regional Police Community Development Director presented a certificate of appreciation to the FKPM and BKPM of Pasar Lama District in recognition of their active role in assisting police duties, particularly in maintaining public security and order.
Head of Community Relations at Lahat Police Station AKP Heri Jon Pajri stated that the achievement is concrete evidence that collaboration between police and the community can create a safe and conducive environment.
“This award represents recognition of the hard work of FKPM and BKPM of Pasar Lama District in assisting the Indonesian National Police in maintaining security and order within the community,” said Heri.
He emphasised that the success was inseparable from active community participation, which continually maintains communication with the police through the established partnership forum.
“We hope this achievement can serve as motivation for FKPM and BKPM in other areas to continue enhancing their role in supporting the creation of security and order in their respective communities,” he added.
According to him, the existence of FKPM and BKPM serves as a spearhead in building closer ties between police and the community, whilst also serving as a means to gather public aspirations and resolve social issues collectively.
Throughout the event, proceedings remained safe, orderly, and smooth. Lahat Police Station hopes that the partnership between the Indonesian National Police and the community will continue to be maintained to support security stability in the local jurisdiction.
