State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that Pertamina will not yet make any price adjustments for either subsidised fuel (BBM subsidi) or non-subsidised fuel. This statement dispels rumours circulating about plans to raise fuel prices.

Quoted from detikNews, Prasetyo said that the government, along with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and Pertamina, has held discussions following the emergence of the issue.

“So, we need to convey that after coordination in this matter between the government and the Ministry of ESDM together with Pertamina, and on the instructions of the President. The President always prioritises the interests of the people and society in making decisions,” Prasetyo told reporters on Tuesday (31/3/2026).

“That is why Pertamina states that it will not yet make price adjustments for either subsidised or non-subsidised fuel,” he continued.

Prasetyo assured that the government is committed to maintaining price stability to protect the public’s purchasing power. He also urged the public not to be influenced by unverified rumours.

“We hope that with this statement, the public can obtain clearer and more accurate information, and we hope the public does not need to panic,” he urged.

Prasetyo added that fuel availability is also secure.

“No need to worry because we guarantee the availability of fuel. We guarantee it. And there will be no price adjustments. That is what we can convey. Once again, happy activities to all Indonesian people,” he concluded.
