Five leaders of Indonesia’s defence, security, and law enforcement institutions attended the peak celebration of National Cooperatives Day (Harkopnas) 2026. They took a moment to pose for a group photograph. The event was held at the Indonesia Arena in Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday. The officials present were National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Indonesian Military Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs General (Ret.) Djamari Chaniago, and Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Lieutenant General (Ret.) Muhammad Herindra. All five wore batik shirts with different motifs. Djamari Chaniago, Listyo Sigit, Agus Subiyanto, ST Burhanuddin, and Muhammad Herindra stood in a row, joining their hands together. The moment drew smiles from members of the Red and White Cabinet in attendance. Officials present included Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Nusron Wahid, Deputy Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Otto Hasibuan, and CEO of Danantara Rosan Roeslani. The peak celebration of Harkopnas 2026 was also attended by President Prabowo Subianto. On the occasion, Prabowo asserted that cooperatives are one of the pillars of the national economy. ‘If we strengthen cooperatives, it does not mean we will weaken others. No!’ Prabowo said. Prabowo expressed confidence that Indonesia can grow strong in all sectors. He believes Indonesia is capable of rising to become a self-reliant nation. ‘We strengthen, Indonesia is rich, Indonesia will rise, and Indonesia will be able to strengthen all forces in this Republic of Indonesia,’ Prabowo stressed. General Chair of the Indonesian Cooperative Council (Dekopin) Bambang Haryadi also expressed appreciation for President Prabowo’s attention to the cooperative sector. Bambang said it is only in the Prabowo administration that the cooperative movement has received serious attention and become a priority economic programme for the people.
