In global markets, United States stock indices closed higher. The Dow Jones rose 0.30% to 53,577, the S&P 500 gained 0.32% to 7,677, and the Nasdaq strengthened 0.66% to 26,151.
However, the domestic market still faces sentiment related to the FTSE September 2026 rebalancing, which could trigger selling by passive funds in Indonesian stocks removed from the index. On the other hand, the EIDO ETF still recorded a gain of 1.11%.
In terms of corporate actions, PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) is accelerating the development of geothermal projects through two bottoming unit projects with a total additional capacity of 45 MW. The projects include the Ulubelu Bottoming Unit PLTP with a capacity of 30 MW in Lampung and the Lahendong Bottoming Unit PLTP of 15 MW in North Sulawesi. Both are targeted to begin commercial operations in 2028.
PGEO has also been mandated to conduct geothermal exploration in the Cubadak Panti working area, West Sumatra. The area covers 29,897 hectares with an initial potential of around 77 MWe, estimated to be equivalent to the electricity needs of around 40,000 households.
In addition to these two projects, PGEO is developing a number of strategic projects, including Lumut Balai PLTP Units 3 and 4 in South Sumatra, Hululais PLTP Units 1 and 2 in Bengkulu, Lahendong PLTP Units 7–8 and Binary Unit in North Sulawesi, as well as the Gunung Tiga project in Lampung.
Furthermore, PT Merdeka Gold Resources Tbk (EMAS), through PT Pani Industri Nusantara (PIN), is preparing an investment of around Rp2.45 trillion–Rp2.70 trillion for the procurement of machinery, equipment, and consulting services for the construction of a Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) gold processing facility at the Pani Mine, Gorontalo.
The investment is directed at increasing ore processing capacity to 12 million tonnes per year from the initial stage of 8 million tonnes per year. The CIL facility is part of the Pani Mine production development plan.
When operating at full capacity, the Pani Mine is projected to produce around 500,000 ounces of gold per year. From a technical perspective, EMAS shares still have room to move towards Rp9,050, supported by increased trading volume and a stochastic indicator showing an upward direction.
There is also PT Satu Visi Putra Tbk (VISI), which plans to conduct a private placement by issuing a maximum of 307.5 million new shares, equivalent to 10% of the total issued and fully paid shares. The corporate action could potentially cause a maximum dilution of 10% for shareholders who do not participate.
Funds from the private placement will be used to strengthen the capital structure and support the business development of the company and/or its subsidiaries. One of the planned uses is a share subscription in Hasna Medika Bakti Cirebon (HMBC), a company in the healthcare sector, with a transaction value of Rp286 billion.
Through this transaction, VISI has the potential to own 72.91% of HMBC shares based on the CSSA and CSPA agreements. The private placement can be carried out within two years from the Independent General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for 30 September 2026.
