Five Stock Recommendations with Potential for Gains Today
The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) ended trading on Tuesday (30/6) with a 3.05% decline to 5,643.19. Shares of CPIN, MTEL, and UNTR were the main supports for the index’s movement, strengthening by 9.68%, 8.43%, and 1.88% respectively. On the other hand, the weakening of BBCA, BBRI, and MORA shares were the biggest drags on the IHSG. Foreign investors recorded a net sell of Rp1.21 trillion in the regular market and Rp1.04 trillion across all markets. All sectors closed in the red, with the basic industry sector recording the deepest correction of 5.54%.
Meanwhile, United States stock markets moved higher. The Dow Jones index rose 0.26% to 52,319, the S&P 500 strengthened 0.79% to 7,499, and the Nasdaq gained 1.52% to 26,213.
Domestic market sentiment was influenced by a Fitch Ratings report highlighting high interest rates, the weakening rupiah exchange rate, and regulatory risks deemed potentially impactful on corporate performance. This condition was reflected in the weakening of the EIDO ETF index by 2.92% and the MSCI Indonesia index by 3.76%.
On the corporate side, PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk. (MTEL) has allocated capital expenditure of Rp2.9 trillion throughout 2026 to support organic expansion. The company is targeting the addition of approximately 2,500 new tenants and the construction of 9,000 kilometres of billable fibre optic cable throughout the year. Additionally, MTEL is preparing to enter the Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) business by utilising its network of 40,327 telecommunication towers, around 59% of which are located outside Java, to support the implementation of the Internet Rakyat (IRA) programme based on the 1.4 GHz spectrum. Meanwhile, the planned release of the 700 MHz and 2,500 MHz spectrum is seen as opening up service expansion opportunities for the company. On Tuesday’s trading, MTEL shares closed higher and were above the 21-day exponential moving average (EMA21).
Meanwhile, PT Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari Tbk. (ELPI) will conduct a Rights Issue I through the issuance of a maximum of 2.11 billion new shares, equivalent to 22.18% of the issued and paid-up capital after the corporate action. The rights issue exercise price is set at Rp350 per share, with potential proceeds reaching approximately Rp739.35 billion. The company plans to use the funds for the procurement of offshore support vessels amounting to Rp277.20 billion, equity participation in a joint venture worth Rp190 billion, additional capital for the subsidiary ELPI Trans Cargo amounting to Rp118.30 billion, with the remainder for the working capital of the company and Ekalya Purnamasari Offshore. In this corporate action, Binaartha Sekuritas acts as the standby buyer that will absorb a maximum of 316.92 million shares not taken up by shareholders. The controlling shareholder, Kreasi Cipta Timur (KCT) which holds 82.36% of ELPI shares, stated it will not exercise its rights and will transfer all its entitlements to GMT Kapital Asia (GKA). Shareholders who do not exercise their rights could face ownership dilution of up to 22.18% after the rights issue is completed.
Furthermore, PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk. (ICBP) has set a final cash dividend for the 2025 financial year at Rp265 per share, with a total value of approximately Rp3.09 trillion. This amount is equivalent to 33.5% of the net profit attributable to owners of the parent entity. From this total dividend, PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. (INDF) as the controlling shareholder will receive around Rp2.49 trillion, while public shareholders will obtain approximately Rp601.61 billion. Based on ICBP’s closing share price of Rp6,800 on 30 June 2026, the dividend yield is recorded at about 3.9%. The cum date for the dividend in the regular and negotiation markets is scheduled for 6 July 2026, with payment to be made on 28 July 2026.
