Hotel accommodation prices at star-rated hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), have fallen by up to 75% due to the escalation of tensions in the Gulf region. RIA Novosti news agency analysed daily rates for two guests for early April check-ins. The average daily rate at four-star hotels was observed to have dropped by up to 75%, while prices at five-star hotels fell by more than 66%. In Abu Dhabi, for instance, room rates at the four-star Mercure hotel were offered at $54 or approximately Rp918,000, down from $200–250 or about Rp4.25 million offered in January to February. Similar conditions applied to the TRYP by Wyndham hotel with daily room rates starting from $57, Ramada Downtown at $54, and La Quinta by Wyndham at $61. Meanwhile, five-star hotels in Abu Dhabi implemented discounts of roughly half to two-thirds off original prices. Rooms at the Rixos Marina hotel were sold starting from $225 per night, Ritz Carlton from $231, Shangri-La at $201, and Radisson at $125. In Dubai, four-star hotels selling rooms for $50–60 included Stella di Mare, Time Oak, and Hyatt Place. For five-star hotel stays in Dubai, Dusit Thani offered rates starting from $95. Additionally, Hilton Jumeirah was priced at $155, Pullman Jumeirah at $90, Radisson Blu at $87, and Movenpick Jumeirah at $167. Despite this, the air in the UAE remains conducive to holidays, with daytime temperatures throughout April expected to range from 25–30 degrees Celsius. Previously, on 28 February, the US and Israel launched joint strikes against Iran, including Tehran, causing infrastructure damage and casualties. In response, Iran carried out retaliatory attacks on Israeli territory and US military bases in the Middle East.
