REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JEDDAH – Five Saudi Arabian ministries jointly announced on Wednesday that the country is ready to host this year’s Hajj pilgrimage. It is estimated that 1.5 million pilgrims from around the world will attend to perform the sacred ritual obligatory for every capable Muslim.

The Kingdom has completed extensive preparations encompassing artificial intelligence (AI) technology, full 5G network coverage, and more than 52,000 healthcare personnel ready to provide medical services.

Media Minister Salman Al-Dosari, at a press conference in Riyadh, stated that the Hajj organisation system is managed with a highly precise plan. Relying on movement and density analysis using modern AI-based technology.

He also mentioned that the Kingdom now has 5G network coverage across all holy sites. Transport and Logistics Services Minister Saleh Al-Jasser explained that more than 1.5 million pilgrims from outside the Kingdom are expected to arrive, with over 3 million flight seats provided through six airports connecting Saudi Arabia to more than 300 airports worldwide via over 104 airlines.

Al-Dosari explained that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has prepared more than 20,000 mosques. And provided more than two million copies of the Holy Quran as a gift from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
