Morowali – Marking Eid al-Adha 1447 H, PT International Green Industrial Park (IGIP) in Morowali has reaffirmed its tangible social commitment through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. The company distributed five sacrificial cows to local village communities within the industrial zone, district government officials, and local law enforcement authorities. The distribution was specifically allocated to strategic locations: two cows for the community of Sambalagi Village, one for Were’ea Village residents, and one each for the Bungku Pesisir District Government and Bungku Pesisir Police Sector. The activities on Wednesday, 27 May began with a collective Eid al-Adha prayer led by IGIP management and staff at the IGIP Mosque. Following the religious ceremony and symbolic handover, the community participated in the communal slaughter of the sacrificial animals. Indy, a representative from IGIP’s ESG team, stated that the initiative is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to grow alongside the surrounding industrial community. “Through this Eid al-Adha occasion, PT IGIP aims to be present among the community. This sacrifice programme is not merely fulfilling social responsibility but also an expression of gratitude and an effort to strengthen harmonious ties between the company, local government, and residents,” Indy said. Significant appreciation came from the local village governments that received the aid. The company’s presence during this religious occasion was deemed to have a highly positive psychological and social impact on residents. Hendra, Head of Sambalagi Village, expressed that his community warmly welcomed PT IGIP’s gesture. “On behalf of the village government and Sambalagi residents, we extend our deepest gratitude for the two sacrificial cows. The collaborative slaughter process between company staff and residents today reflects an excellent relationship,” Hendra said. Similarly, Edy, Head of Were’ea Village, emphasised the importance of such collaborations for community welfare.
