Five Residents Named Suspects in Fatal Beating of Alleged Chicken Thief in Tabanan
The case of a mob attack against an alleged chicken thief, identified by the initials KD, which resulted in his death in Tabanan, Bali, has entered a new phase. Police have named five residents as suspects for the fatal beating.
The five suspects have the initials MJ, WS, KB, ML, and ND. Tabanan Police Chief AKBP I Putu Bayu Pati stated that the suspects were identified based on the results of an examination and intensive interrogation at the Baturiti Police Station.
“After interrogation, we have named five suspects in the mob attack, all of whom are men,” Bayu Pati said during a press conference at the Tabanan Police headquarters.
In addition to detaining the five suspects, police also seized several pieces of evidence, including clothing belonging to the suspects, an iron bar, and a bamboo stick believed to have been used to assault the victim to death.
Head of Criminal Investigation for the Tabanan Police, AKP Made Teddy Satria Permana, added that investigators had conducted a marathon examination of 18 witnesses in the case. “From those 18 witnesses, five have been named as suspects,” Teddy explained.
