Five questioned over Bali blasts

DENPASAR, Bali: Police are questioning five people as witnesses in the Oct. 1 Bali suicide blasts that killed 20 people.

Bali Police spokesman Sr. Comr. A.S. Reniban said on Wednesday the witnesses were being questioned in their respective towns, which are outside Bali.

"We expect the witnesses to lead us to more suspects besides the four people who have already been detained," Reniban said.

Police have named eight suspects in the bombings on three Bali restaurants, including the three suicide bombers and Malaysian bombmaker Azahari bin Husin who was killed in a police raid in November.

The remaining four suspects are Mohamad Cholili, alias Yahya, 28, Anif Zulhanudin, alias Pendek, 24, Abdul Azis, 30, and Dwi Widianto, alias Wiwid, 31. -- Antara
