Five people injured in inter-village clash in East Adonara, Flores Timur, NTT; two referred to hospital
The number of victims in an inter-village clash in East Adonara District, Flores Timur Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has risen to five people. The five victims consist of three residents of Narasaosina village and two residents of Waiburak village. Danny Gunawan, Director of Pratama Adonara Hospital, said the three Narasaosina residents were Siprianus Toda Geroda (66), Agustinus Notan Kraeng, and Inosensius Daeng (36). The three residents sustained gunshot wounds to the thigh and leg from a homemade firearm. Meanwhile, the two Waiburak residents were Mansyur Ola (39) and Jumadin Saputra (22). “Both suffered gunshot wounds to the right thigh, neck, and area behind the ear,” Gunawan told detikBali when contacted on Friday (6/3/2026).
Head of Ile Boleng Community Health Center, Stefanus Ola, said the two Waiburak residents had been referred to RSUD Hendrikus Fernandez Larantuka for the extraction of the projectile from the homemade weapon. “They were referred around 14:00 WITA, after receiving treatment for about two hours,” Stefanus added.
Earlier reports indicated three residents in East Adonara District, Flores Timur, NTT, were wounded by gunfire from a homemade weapon during clashes between Bele hamlet residents of Waiburak and Narasaosina villagers on Friday (6/3/2026).
According to information received by detikBali, the clash erupted over competing claims to customary land ownership. Several video posts obtained by detikBali showed houses being burned. The smoke broke the morning stillness of local life.
