Five Mobile SIM Extension Locations in Jakarta Today

The Traffic Directorate of the Jakarta Metro Police is operating mobile driving licence (SIM) extension services at five locations in Jakarta on Saturday to assist residents in renewing their legal driving permits.

According to the Metro Police’s X account @tmcpoldametro, these service outlets are open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Western Indonesia Time.

The locations are: East Jakarta, lobby of Grand Cakung Mall; North Jakarta, main lobby of LTC Glodok; South Jakarta, parking area beside Trilogi University; West Jakarta, south lobby of Ciputra Mall; and Central Jakarta, parking area of Lapangan Banteng Post Office.

Required documents include a photocopy of a valid identity card (KTP), the original and still-valid SIM, a health check certificate, and a psychological test certificate obtained through the Simpel Pol application.

This mobile service can only extend SIMs that are still valid for certain categories, namely SIM A and SIM C. If a licence has expired, even by one day, the holder must apply for a new SIM at a designated police facility.

The extension fee, in accordance with Government Regulation No. 76 of 2020 on Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) applicable to the National Police, is Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C. Applicants must also pay additional costs for the psychological test and health check via the Simpel Pol app.
