Five mobile driving licence service locations in Jakarta on Wednesday

The Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate is providing mobile driving licence (SIM Keliling) services at five locations in Jakarta on Wednesday. The service aims to help residents extend the validity of their legal driving permits and operates from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time.

According to the official X (Twitter) account of TMC Polda Metro Jaya, the service locations are: the front lobby of Grand Cakung Mall in East Jakarta; the main lobby of LTC Glodok in North Jakarta; the parking area beside Trilogi University Kalibata in South Jakarta; the south lobby of Ciputra Mall in West Jakarta; and the parking area of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office in Central Jakarta.

Requirements for renewal include a photocopy of a valid national identity card (KTP), a photocopy of the old driving licence along with the original, proof of a health check, and proof of a psychological test. The mobile service can only process renewals for licences that are still valid, specifically for class A and class C licences. For licences that have already expired, holders must apply for a new licence at a location designated by the police.

In accordance with Government Regulation No. 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue, the renewal fee is Rp80,000 for a class A licence and Rp75,000 for a class C licence. Class B licences, which are designated for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes, cannot be renewed via the mobile service and must be processed at a SIM Administration Unit (Satpas) office due to differing document requirements.
