Five Mobile Driver's Licence Locations in Jakarta This Friday

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya) is opening mobile driver’s licence (SIM) services in five areas of Jakarta this Friday to assist residents with the renewal of their legal driving requirements.

Polda Metro Jaya, via the @tmcpoldametro Instagram account, announced that these SIM booths will be open from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB. The locations are as follows:

East Jakarta: Front lobby of Mall Grand Cakung

North Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Gloderm

South Jakarta: Parking area beside Trilogi University

West Jakarta: South lobby of Mall Ciputra

Central Jakarta: Parking area of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office

Prospective applicants must prepare and complete all necessary requirements, as well as administrative fees, before visiting the renewal locations. Required documents include a photocopy of a valid National ID (KTP), the original and valid old SIM, proof of a health examination, and proof of a psychological test conducted via the Simpel Pol application.

The mobile SIM service is only available for the renewal of specific categories, namely SIM A and SIM C. For licences that have expired, even by a single day, owners must apply for a new licence at locations designated by the police.

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation Number 76 of 2020 concerning the Types and Tariffs of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) applicable to the National Police, the cost is Rp80,000 for SIM A renewals and Rp75,000 for SIM C renewals. In addition to these fees, applicants are also required to pay for additional costs, including the psychological test and health examination fees via the Simpel Pol application.
