Five killed in traffic accident

SURABAYA, East Java: Five people were killed, one fell into a
coma and 13 other people were seriously wounded in a collision
between a passenger bus and a trailer on Wednesday.

The speeding Garuda bus, en route from Jakarta to Ponorogo,
collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction
on the Matualang road, Ngawi regency.

The Antara news agency identified the fatalities as bus driver
Ade, 35, from Bogor, West Java; Sukro, 43, from Ponorogo; Isron,
56, from Madiun; and T. Pradita, 11, also from Madiun in East
Java. Another victim was an unidentified man in a military
uniform. (swe)
