Five killed in road accident

PATI, Central Java: Five people were killed and two seriously
injured when their car crashed into an oncoming truck in
Margorejo near here yesterday.

Eyewitnesses said the accident happened when the car zigzagged
at high speed. The truck was seen to be slowing down but the two
vehicles were to close to avoid each other.

Police identified the victims as the sedan's driver and
passengers. All were Jakarta residents on their way to Surabaya.

Police said that the driver might have lost control due to
drowsiness. (har)
