Five Investment Managers Launch Sharia Gold ETFs on the Indonesia Stock Exchange
A number of investment managers (MI) are launching sharia-compliant gold Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) products on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) today, Monday, 10 August 2026. The launch coincides with the anniversary of the Indonesian Capital Market.
Based on data from the BEI, five investment managers are participating in the launch. They are PT Trimegah Asset Management, PT BRI Manajemen Investasi, PT Mandiri Manajemen Investasi, PT Syailendra Capital, and PT Indo Premier Investment Management. These products add to the range of gold-based investment instruments available for trading through the capital market.
One of the products, the Trimegah Syariah Gold ETF, will trade under the code XTRA. PT Trimegah Asset Management acts as the fund manager, with PT Bank HSBC Indonesia serving as the custodian bank and PT Mirae Asset Sekuritas Indonesia and PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk acting as participating dealers. The initial public offering for XTRA recorded 48 million participation units, with an initial net asset value (NAV) of IDR 11.91 billion and an offering price of IDR 248 per unit.
PT BRI Manajemen Investasi is also launching a sharia gold ETF product named BRI MI Gold ETF Syariah, which will trade under the code XDES. With the listing and trading of XTRA and XDES, investors can now transact in sharia-compliant gold ETF participation units through the exchange’s trading mechanism.
